All are invited to meet for lunch after at Merks
Saturday, December 17th the choir from College Presbyterian Church will be singing Christmas carols at Brookview at 2pm. If you are interested in joining please be in the lobby of Brookview at 1:45pm
Sunday, December 18th there will be a congrational meeting after the worship service to vote on new elders and approve the 2012 Budget.
Sunday, December 18th at 6pm will be the church dinner. Please bring a main dish, salad or side to share. We will celebrate December birthdays as well.
Saturday December 24th at 7:30pm we will
be holding our Christmas Eve Service with Communion.
Sunday, December 25th we will have worship service at the regular time.
Sunday, January 1st we will have worship service but no communion.

Operation Christmas Child Packing Party

Thank you all at College Church for your generous donations and diligent
packing last night in the World’s largest Christmas project. Although
our goal was 70 shoe boxes, in about one hour we put together 100
boxes. They were evenly distributed between boys and girls. We will be
blessing the boxes at the worship service on Dec 20 and then delivering
them all to the drop-site at Farmville United Methodist Church on Dec
21. If you missed our party and still want to Jump aboard our
Samaritan’s Purse international relief OCC program, we are still
accepting seven dollars per shoe box for shipping and handling. Checks
may be written to College Church with OCC in the “for” line.
Remember this is truly a worldwide mission program with boxes going to
Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and native Americans. It
opens the doors for local churches to share the true meaning of
Christmas–God’s gift of His Son Jesus. Along with the shoe boxes,
children will be given colorful storybooks and will be able to take a
12-part Bible study to teach them about the gospel and invite them to
accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Children who complete their study will
receive a personalized certificate and a special New Testament in their
native language. Please pray for the recipient children and for the
workers who complete the collecting, processing and shipping millions of
boxes around the world.
