The class put western culture ‘on trial’ and staged a public event. Here the students are after the event, which was held in Parents & Friends in Venable Hall.
Hight routinely gives lectures and talks. In the fall of 2015 he was asked to be the keynote speaker at the Virginia Philosophical Association meeting. He delivered an ‘after dinner’ style talk entitled “How to Ruin an Otherwise Good Time at the Movies: A Philosopher Looks at Star Wars.” This was right before the release of the new Star Wars movies (the 4th movie, or ‘Episode 1’).
