{"id":1376,"date":"2014-08-19T19:32:42","date_gmt":"2014-08-19T19:32:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.hsc.edu\/biology\/?p=1376"},"modified":"2023-09-26T13:36:23","modified_gmt":"2023-09-26T13:36:23","slug":"h-sc-student-generated-bacteriophage-sequence-published-on-genbank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.hsc.edu\/biology\/2014\/08\/19\/h-sc-student-generated-bacteriophage-sequence-published-on-genbank\/","title":{"rendered":"H-SC student-generated bacteriophage sequence published on GenBank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mycobacteriophage Cheetobro, discovered on the Hampden-Sydney campus and named by Drew Whitt &#8217;11 and analyzed by James Hughes &#8217;14 and Francis Polakiewicz &#8217;14, was recently published on GenBank. \u00a0GenBank is the genomic sequence repository of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), a subsidiary of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
