Others, like the Illustrated Pericles’ Funeral Oration, offer a broader context to understand Pericles’ ideas. The Illustrated Aeschylus’ Oresteia accomplishes two things: it provides photographic notes to accompany the text and explains obscure references in the poetry, and it follows in Orestes’ footsteps so we can see the shift in settings from play to play from Mycenae to Delphi to Athens – the Orestes’ Trek. These turned out to be a lot of fun to write and illustrate.
